Fun Day

We braved the rain and beat down our laziness to celebrate a special occasion.

This year we celebrated Indonesia's Independence Day by playing games in the park and fund raising for the church. It was too cold and rainy to even get out of bed, but thankfully, there was no regrets in coming to the event.

Our friends have diligently prepared the event for church, which consisted of games and a variety of food to buy, it was a very family friendly event.

One of the games was to eat tied up donuts without using your hands. It's one heck of a game to play, resulting in interesting positions and faces. And the donuts were also a plus. Krispy Kremeeees!!!

Our signature pose, it's not easy being the tallest. I'm always the one carrying people up. But then again I'm also the heaviest, so I may break the little people's backs. :P

This is the result of shoving your face into a pile of flour for a game. So many laughs from this game though.

It was really fun seeing most of the church gathering together, and meeting them outside of church. So many laughter and silliness despite the cold and wet beginning. Plus the food was delicious as always, made it feel like we're back in Indonesia.

I really love these special church occasions where we can mingle with people outside our usual social group, I made friends with several new people I never knew of, even though we go to the same church! Never a boring moment with them kids.

Happy Independence Day Indonesia!
