So what's for lunch?
Our latest adventure took place in John Smith Cafe, and apparently it's located just beside the apartment where I used to live. Imagine if I still lived there, you would find me there munching away on cronuts daily.
While me and Kirby chose to live and enjoy life by eating the good stuff like pulled pork burgers, Jen and Kezia ordered their usuals - vegetarian breakfast and the horseradish & rocket salad. I guess it's true what they say: there are two types of people.
Dessert was (and always will be) a definite yes. There was no way we would eat a meal without dessert. Ordering the cronuts took a while, and after 5 minutes discussing how many and which ones to order, it went down like this:
Us: Can we have one chocolate ganache cronut please?
Us: Can we have one chocolate ganache cronut please?
Waiter: Just one? You don't want to try the other flavours?
Us: No thanks, we're already too full.
After finishing that one teeny tiny cronut, turns out we weren't that full after all. Mustering courage, we ordered one more glazed cronut, accompanied with a refreshing cold drip coffee. Thanks to the waiter who didn't give us the "I told you so" glance!
