All those stories and pictures of Lotus Cafe, I was preparing myself for a big disappointment. Happy to report that Lotus Cafe was worth the hour and a half drive!
We've been curious about this local cafe for a while, after seeing Jessica Stein from tuulavintage post from this place often (like here). So we spent our last road trip day to pay this place a visit and see what's it all about.
Have you ever had a coffee spot where all the staff already know you by name and it feels like your second home? I've never had one, I'm too greedy and want to try out new places all the time and can't really commit to being a loyal customer of just one coffee shop.
But while we sat down and waited for our order, we noticed how friendly the staff was, and they knew many of the customers on a first name basis. It all had a very Hallmark movie feeling to it. It makes the experience more enjoyable and the good quality of their food did more good than harm!
My friends all want to come back here and I would too in a heartbeat, if only it was slightly closer to home. But definitely shall return to give all their dishes a taste!
