While Americans gets white Christmas, we Australians get snow in June! Jealous yet?
After 12 hours on the road and many stops along the Grand Pacific Drive, we finally arrived at our cabin in Jindabyne. We ate out at a local burrito place in the city, most of us being too tired from the drive to even bother with cooking. And then spent the night staying up chatting the night away, talking about the many little questions of life.
Second day of the weekend was spent on Thredbo, skiing, tobogganing, and drinking hot chocolates at the cafe. While the boys knocked themselves out with all the skiing, the girls spent most of their time in the cafe - after skiing for only about an hour or so. After building snowmen, making snow angels, and a mini winter photo shoot, we headed back down the mountain and cooked in our cabin.
Our aim was to have our own Masterchef competition, but with everyone too hungry, we ended up working together to prepare for a late late dinner (10pm!!!). We served roasted chicken, fish fillet with ginger & chilli, fritata, and rosemary potatoes. Pretty impressive, I say, for a bunch of college students!
