El Topo Mexican, Bondi

Buena comida, dios amigos, buenos tiempos!

(Roast annatto pork, radish & pickle onion; Fried gem fish  pickled cabbage & chipotle mayo; Soft shell crab, mulato mayo, jalapeƱo cactus salsa)
(Roast sweet potato, slow cooked egg, pinto bean & guajillo)

El Topo has been one of our favourite Mexican restaurant, located inside Bondi Junction. We've only been here twice, but compared to other Mexican restaurants, this one beats most of them. The space is so open with so much light coming in, there's an outdoor section at the back, and even though it's the middle of winter and we're all freezing, we decided to brave the cold and have lunch outdoor. Thanks to their outdoor heater we were able to eat lunch without turning to ice blocks. The place is so colourful! It makes me happy just looking at the photos, and the staff would occasionally check up on you and make small talks, and one of them even gave me a small tour of the place so I could snap up some pictures without worrying what other guests are thinking!

The tacos are never a disappointment  I always order tacos here, but seeing what Jennifer has ordered, I definitely will try out their other dishes!
