Bauhaus 1933, South Jakarta

Home at last!

Finally back home for two weeks, I decided to go to The East building in Kuningan area with a close friend for a little catch up. We hadn't really decided on where to eat, but as soon as we got there, we came across Bauhaus 1933 just before the building's exit. Attracted by its unique easy-to-spot grand entrance, we decided to step inside, and the dimmed light and its Bohemian interior captured my attention, giving me a good first impression already.

We ordered the lunch package which includes a main course, a dessert and a drink. We got to choose one out of three options, and our choices fell to the beer battered chicken and the bulgogi fried rice. Following that, we ordered the cheesecake with ice cream and the coconut chocolate panna cotta with sugar-coated chips (weird combination I know). A lot of pretty places have almost always disappointed me with their foods, and it lowered my expectation of theirs too. But surprisingly, they all tasted really good, especially the main courses.

And with this pretty bar right here, what's not to love?
